I just learned today of James Redford’s passing. I can think only what a great loss for everyone. He has done so much to bring understanding in a world that desperately needs empathy. I have placed a link to the lovely obituary written by Jane Stevens who posted on ACESconnection.com detailing James’ work and contribution to the world.
I am keenly feeling this loss today, though I have only known him through his documentaries and the powerful way he communicated about mental health, Adverse Childhood Experiences, and the way he shined a light on a path toward resilience for individuals, schools, communities, and the world. His work certainly had a profound effect on me and my community members who saw the film in our documentary screening and participated in the panel discussion that followed.
My heartfelt condolences to James’ family and friends. There is a special place in Heaven for him.
In honor and celebration of his work, I have posted links to various interviews and trailers of his film.
